I am a singer-songwriter-musician with influences that range from classical to heavy rock, with a healthy dose of blues and country in between. i've been playing music since i was able to walk. i like to say, "know my music and you'll know me." so if you're wondering what i'm like, there's your jumping off point.
my discography dates back to 1984 and since then i've played or sang on more than forty releases, some my own, but most as a side-musician or backup singer. i've been in a lot of rock bands, and my solo acoustic shows have been compared to "Alice In Chains Unplugged." Music Connection Magazine once said i was "More closely related to Angus" and i think that's pretty cool.
i've played stages large and small all over the world, from the Whiskey-A-Go-Go in Hollywood to Paradiso in Amsterdam. my early influences were classical - Rimsky-Korsakov, Stravinsky, Rachmaninoff, Liszt, Beethoven ... which evolved into Black Sabbath, Kate Bush, and others ... truly, i love texture and feeling. music changes everything - it's a living, breathing art form that never ceases to fascinate.
i play piano, bass, and 12-string guitar, some say like a weapon.
i don't do shows much anymore because i have pretty bad hearing loss, which makes it not as much fun for me. however, i do have some new things in the works and, of course, they will be epic.
i have four solo albums: Brainflower, Matinee, Pokalolo Paniolo (as iST), and more recently, One Night at Giant Rock, which was produced by
Victor DeLorenzo, an original Violent Femme.
we're getting ready to release the vinyl edition of giant rock, a series of 7" singles, and a brand new LP with with 7 new songs produced by the legendary Eddie Kramer. it's all about the vinyl this year! i hope you'll come along for the ride.
and of course there is always more. every day is an adventure.
