 POKALOLO PANIOLO

 STONER ALERT!
iST is me on bass, dave kiner on guitar, and dan cornelius on drums. another amazing record - if you like it tuned down, heavy, and groovy, this is for you. vinyl coming one day.

88 fingers nebulous aka astrid

when we started this, i was playing 12 string, me and dave and bill were smoking a lot and writing songs. i ended up becoming the bass player when ours didn't make it to a couple of gigs. power trios rule.

dave kiner

dave is one third of iST. many of the songs were based on his sick riffs and most were named by him too. the dude has a wicked imagination and a unique musical gift. i have no idea what he's up to these days.

dan cornelius

i was introduced to dan cornelius through randy cooke and have rarely had so much fun playing with a drummer. he's a great songwriter too. oh, and... octomonkey. that is all.

Matinee

my solo acoustic record

it's all me

i played everything on this record. it was recorded on 2" tape. there is no digital editing or digital anything. live echo chambers and sweet compression. 12 string, bass, piano, celeste, glass flutes, whatever i could find.

the back story

funny story. the iST record was coming out in Europe. i was going to be touring there with neil, but it was a short trip. i thought maybe my record label would book me some solo shows if i made an acoustic record. they said yes, so i did.

make the record, i mean.

what is this is

most of the songs are also on the iST record. some are not. it's very personal and raw. and i don't think i thanked will mitchell for coming in to spot my vocals. thank you will. it's hard wearing all the hats, but you always get by with a little help from your friends. right?

full liner notes, lyrics, and other stuff

coming soon

it's good 3 am music
